Course Description: Calculus-based Lecture-recitation course that deals with light, electricity, magnetism.

 

Pre-Requisites: PHYS 013, calculus, algebra, geometry and trigonometry.

Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended. It is the responsibility of students to find out about announcements that were given in class. Cellphones are not permitted in the class.

 

Homework: There will be homework due on Mondays at the beginning of the lecture, starting September 3.  Late homework will not be accepted. Homework will be posted every Monday during the Lecture.

 

Exams: There will be two Midterms and a Final exam. Midterm Exams tentative date: Oct 9,11 and Nov. 13,15 during recitation.  Final Exam date: December 10. (date and room TBA). Make-up exams will not be given. Only in exceptional cases a make up or excused exam will be considered. A written acceptable justified excuse will be required.  

 

Grades: Homework 20%, Midterms 25% each, Final 30%.

Unjustified missed exams and homework assignments count as zero points.
